Crio.Do Build Real Productions Hands-On.

But Who is Crio: When the quality of learning methods started degrading in “Storms of Videos” and learning became equal to watching videos pointlessly then the Entity that came to existence to save “students of future” is CRIO.

Who are you: I am your fellow, a person who is in cs, maybe prior to or same to your timeline of learning computer science. My name is Vipul Krishna Mathuria and If we are doing it with college then I am final year Student in B.Tech CS in NIT Jalandhar.

But Why Should I believe you: Neither I want to you to..! All I want to you to “see for yourself” by trying out “Free-stuff” that crio.do has it for beginners and then decide for yourself whether you want the premium one or not.

How did you know about Crio: In the 2nd year of my college I was applying out for Internships for the upcoming summer then there was a program named crio-launch something was written like an Internship-like experience and website of crio-launch was quite good. I did apply for it and got shortlisted for the experience after one coding round and one micro experience named QReview( still available free on crio).

How was the experience and Did you like it: Well! you are talking about liking it but I loved it. This was the 8-week long experience that happened between Feb-March 2020. A total of 4 Micro-Experience solved during the program. In this micro-experience Everything was hands-on with code and challenging yourself was the focus of the experience. A lot of nerdy stuff (that I should not directly talk here) related to software functionalities gave me the satisfaction of coming near to become a real software engineer that I wanted for years.

Office Hours(Issue Resolving by Mentors), Extra Office hours( in Depth personalized discussions), Half-weely stand-ups where we have to give a report on the progress made, Soft-skills focused session, Crio-Cross-Over Nithgts Helping peers and fellows to help to maintain themselves on track and Interactions with People already in Software Industry (Crio-Big-Variable Series)

& You are telling me now (Could have told me earlier): Hey! I am sorry for the delay but things that happened after march-like kicking everyone out of college hostels, super panicking mode of COVID, Lock-Downs, and problems followed by lockdown then very early Unlocking, problems followed by unlocking, hours of hours debates of television and 6th sem Exams at the end was good enough to keep me busy not to look back.

What triggered it Now: #IBelieveinDoing challenge that ran through 18 July-2 August is the Actual reason why am I writing this blog. You can get Crio goodies after completing this challenge and writing a blog for making people aware of this challenge. Don’t you love goodies? At least I do. Even you don’t want goodies you still want to learn the concept that is delivered in this challenge.

IBelieveinDoing Challenge-July Edition

What was #IBelieveinDoing about: Straightly talking this challenge was about the OOPs concept: Encapsulation, Abstraction, polymorphism, and Inheritance. You said: “I already know all of this concept’s and you should also ’cause you are in 7th sem now”. I got you I also “know” this concept. But cramming the same definition of this concept just before the viva and theory exams and speaking it and writing this down is all meaning of “knowing” then I think we should improve the idea of “knowing” the topic.

These 4 challenges delivered by the 4 crio-bytes where the first implementation is written without exactly using this concept’s then you have to find out what are the problems you will face while maintaining, adding new features, and bug-fixing in the current implementation. Then you are provided the second iteration of implementation and you have to verify that Are these addressed issues are fixed in the second iteration of implementation.

This 4 concept was captured and concreted in the learner’s mind by following almost 4 webinars series by mentors for any issue and query resolving. You learn here concept “once and for all”

Why I love Crio: you know that in these times students faces many problems that they think can not be resolved by personal guidance and I agree to that also but what if there are not enough mentors around. If I say to you what if we really learn to “learn by ourselves”. Would not it be awesome if we master the concept of self-learning and learning the topic by just google? I am not talking about copy-pasting the code of stack-overflow. yes, you can get away with the problem but for a long time doing so you will never be interested in learning the process behind the code and that will hinder the spirit of learning the topic with its core.

Crio’s Micro-Experiences are the Steps in that direction where you learn the concept along with learning to learn the concept by yourself. Each Micro-Experience broke up into modules related to functionalities implemented and modules are broken up into Setting-up and Milestone tasks to achieve that functionality in the existing codebase. Crio does not give you an empty editor but already implemented an outlined code simulating the condition of the working of a developer in a real-world company.

After you learning everything about the problem statement and trying out everything there will be debrief-session by mentors where you ask the problem you facing and mentors will guide you along and you will know what he is talking about because you already know the problem statement and constraints very well.

Here is one most important thing that Crio will not try to spoonfeed you the solution because getting the solution maybe will look good to that instant but it will make you paralyzed for getting solution yourself in the future hence affecting badly your learning and spirit to seek truth for yourself.

When crio starts to teach , code starts to talk

What should you do now: Just Head over to the crio to learn the latest updates related to crio and services the crio offers for learners.
